Sinn and Iolaus stood with Hercules, Xena, Gabrielle, Joxer, Cecrops and others as Cupid waited for his mother to admit causing some of the others to fall in love. As they waited, Sinn noticed kriket and her date come in.
"Iolaus, would you come over with me? I'd like to say hello to someone."
"Sure."
They walked over to where kriket was by the entrance.. "Hi kriket!" Sinn said, smiling at the Priestess. "I'm glad you decided to come!"
Kriket introduced them to her date, and Sinn was just starting to fill them in on what had been going on, when Cupid called her from across the room. "Sinn!" he called.."I need to speak with you."
"Excuse us..we'll talk to you guys a little later. I hope you'll enjoy the party."
She and Iolaus made their way over to where Cupid, Heph, Zelena and Dite still stood in a circle. When they arrived, Cupid took her by the arm and led her away from everyone.
"What is it?" she asked.
He said nothing at first, staring intently at her face.
"What?!" she said, wondering what the heck was going on.
"I just wanted to look at your eyes, to see if they had the look of enchantment. Mom still hasn't admitted she's done anything, but I think some of the ones here who've had strong feelings for their dates are under the influence, so to speak."
"Well, I'm not under the influence, I assure you."
"Yes, I can see by your eyes that you're not dazed. I wanted to be sure. I knew that you had already talked to me about your feelings for Iolaus, and this was way before everyone else started acting this way."
"Yes, I do feel for him. I realize I can't be with him, as he travels with Hercules, but I'd still like to think he can visit me sometimes."
Cupid touched her face. "You know I would never ask my Priestesses to be celibate. It wouldn't be fair, since the God you serve is himself, married."
"I know this."
"Good. Now, I need to get back to mother..hopefully Heph has gotten her close to confessing by now." He kissed her softly, and the two of them returned to the others, who were still in a somewhat heated discussion.
Sinn returned to Iolaus side, and smiled at him. "What was that all about?" he asked.
"Oh, just Aphrodite. Iolaus, I want you to know that no matter what is said here tonight or what happens, I still like you very much, and I always will. There is no influence, magical or otherwise, that can change that."
He smiled back.."That's good to hear" as he took her hand.

..and that is how I feel about this. Sorry guys, but I really do like Iolaus...much like some of the others have their favorites who visit on the side. :)
I'm not trying to be possessive, I realize Jenni was in love with him before, and probably still feels something for him, as maybe some others do. He's simply my date for this party, I like him a lot, and my feelings are not caused by any God...and in my fantasy world, neither are his. Hope I haven't stepped on toes with this post.
