Sinn blushed as Sinbad bowed low before her...~~quite a charmer~~ she thought...smiling at Destine. "Thank you." she said.."..but it's my pleasure. I hate to run off..but I've got to speak with Jenni. I hope you have a good time." she excused herself and went to her friend.
After speaking with Jenni, Sinn returned to Iolaus and asked him to dance again..pulling him onto the dance floor. They danced to a seductive song along with Ped, Draco, Kiari, and Autolycus.
Looking around the room as they danced, she saw Jenni and Hercules talking. Jenni still looked a little confused, but better than before. Cupid was nearby..just kind of watching over everyone with his arms crossed. Aphrodite and Heph stood at his side, both drinking Screwdrivers. Aphrodite kept stealing glances at Kim and Caesar..who were still by the bar. Cecrops, Xena, Gabrielle, Skye, Antiape, and Ephiny were at the buffet table talking in a group, and Joxer was still going around sampling all the food. She also saw Meleager and Salmoneous sitting at a nearby table. They appeared to be in deep conversation.
Zelena walked over to Iphicles..who'd gone straight to Hercules and Jenni to talk when he arrived. Soon, the two of them joined the others on the dance floor. ~~Wow, I wonder what their history is?~~ Sinn thought to herself, just as she noticed Ares heading over to Destine and Sinbad with a look on his face she couldn't quite place.
"Uh oh." she said to Iolaus..who turned to see what she was looking at.
"What's wrong Sinn?" he asked.
"I have no idea..but I'm keeping an eye on him."
Cupid also spotted Ares heading over to Destine and Sinbad and excused himself from Heph and Dite to follow him. He wanted to make sure Ares didn't cause trouble in his Temple. It was bad enough that his mom had shown up in the manner she had.
The dance ended and Iolaus took Sinn's hand again, leading her off the dance floor. "What do you say we take a load off?" he asked her.
"Sure..lets sit with Meleager and Sal.." They headed over to the candlelit table.
"Sinn!" Salmoneous said, looking up as they arrived.."..It's great to see you again! Iolaus! Hello my friend."..he was all smiles.
Sinn hugged him and Iolaus nodded hello. "I don't believe we've met.." she said..turning to the older man in leather next to him.
"Oh, I'm sorry..this is Meleager the Mighty...Meleager this is Sinn..and of course you know of Iolaus."
"Yes, of course. Pleased to meet you both...nice party." he said, kissing her hand.
"Thanks. Do you mind if we sit down?"
"Not at all! Please.." Salmoneous gestured to the empty chairs across the table.
They sat..still holding hands. Meleager and Salmoneous returned to the conversation they'd been having. Iolaus turned to look at Sinn..he reached out and touched her face lovingly.
"You are so beautiful." he said quietly..his eyes boring into hers. She blushed again, and smiled warmly.
"Iolaus. I have to tell you something. I don't know how to say it, and I'm scared..but...but.." She sighed.."Okay, here goes. Remember when we first met and Bliss was causing all that havoc? I know that the first times I Kissed you, I was under the influence of Cupid's love arrows, but I wanted you to know that even prior to that I liked you. I liked you from the moment I laid eyes on you in the yard at Ares Temple. We shared that dinner and talked that same night, then you showed up at my door this afternoon, and when I saw you I just felt overwhelmed with emotion. I guess what I'm trying to say is..I think I'm falling in love with you Iolaus." she looked at her feet, afraid to see his reaction.
He was quiet for a moment, and all she could hear was her own too-fast heartbeat thundering in her ears, then suddenly he grabbed her, took her in his arms, and kissed her passionately.
"Wow.." she said breathlessly as they parted. "I take it you don't mind.."
